Data Stories
Data Stories are narrative-rich pages that combine text, images, and embedded visualizations to tell data-driven stories. Accessible from the management top navigation under Content → Data stories.
Creating a story
Go to the Data Stories page from the management top navigation
Click Create
Fill in the fields:
Field Description Title (multi-language) The story title Description (multi-language) A summary of the story Topics Select one or more topics Filterable by geography Toggle to let users filter by area Featured Toggle to feature on the landing page Featured image Upload an image Reviewable Toggle to allow ratings and reviews Tags Type a tag name and click Add Click Save
Designing the story content
After creating the story, click Design to open the story designer. The page header shows the story title, description, and Save / Reset / Close buttons.
Add Block section
Click any Add Block button to add content to the story:

| Text | Rich text editor with formatting toolbar. Supports block format (Normal, Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3), bold, italic, underline, links, ordered and bullet lists, and clean formatting. Each text block has a ✕ remove button. |
| Image | Upload an image with optional caption. Supports alignment (left, right, centre, full-width). |
| Visualization | Embed any published chart, table, map, or scorecard. Select from a dropdown of available visualizations. |
| Two-Column Container | A side-by-side layout. Each column can independently contain text or an embedded visualization. Inner blocks have their own ✕ remove buttons. |
Blocks can be added, removed, and rearranged. Click Save to persist changes, Reset to revert, or Close to exit without saving.
Duplicating a story
- Click Duplicate next to a story
- A copy of the story (including its content blocks) is created, ready for editing
Publishing / unpublishing
Toggle the publish switch on a story row to control its visibility on the public Data Stories page. Requires the Publish and unpublish permission.
Restricting / sharing
Toggle the restrict switch to limit a story to its owner only, or make it accessible to all users. Requires the Edit permission.
Editing a story
- Click Edit next to a story
- Update the metadata fields
- Click Update
Deleting a story
- Click Delete next to a story
- Confirm in the dialog
