Tags

Tags are labels that can be attached to visualizations, data stories, and documents for filtering and discovery. Accessible from the management top navigation under Content → Tags.

Tags are created automatically when users type them into the tag input field on visualizations, data stories, and documents. If a tag with the same name already exists, it is reused rather than duplicated — the usage count simply increments. Tags cannot be created directly from this page, only renamed.

Viewing tags

The tags index page displays a table with:

• Tag name
• Usage count — how many visualizations, data stories, and census tables use this tag

Renaming a tag

1. Click Edit next to a tag
2. Update the multi-language Name
3. Click Update

The rename applies to all content using that tag.
