Topics

Topics are used to categorize indicators, visualizations, and data stories into semantic groups. When creating an indicator, you assign it to one or more topics. Visualizations inherit topics from their selected indicators, while data stories are assigned topics directly. On the public site, users can filter content by topic across the Data Explorer, Visualizations, and Data Stories pages. Accessible from the management top navigation under Data → Topics.

Creating a topic

1. Go to the Topics page from the management top navigation
2. Click Create
3. Fill in the fields:
   • Name (multi-language)
   • Description (multi-language)
   • Rank — display ordering
4. Click Save

Editing a topic

1. Click Edit next to a topic in the list
2. Update the fields as needed
3. Click Update

Deleting a topic

1. Click Delete next to a topic
2. Confirm in the dialog
