Introduction
The Dissemination Toolkit is a web platform for publishing and exploring census and survey data. It is developed and maintained by the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
Landing page
When you first visit the site, you land on the home page. It features:
- A hero section describing the platform's mission: helping you find, explore, and visualize data
- Key statistics — the total number of published datasets, indicators, visualizations, and data stories
- A call to action to try the Data Explorer
- Featured Data Stories — curated narrative pages that showcase data-driven stories using charts, tables, maps, and more
Main sections
The top navigation bar provides access to the platform's core sections:

Login
The Login button in the top-right corner is the entry point for managers and administrators. After signing in, authorized users can access the management dashboard to create and manage content, configure the platform, and control user access.

If you are looking to explore data, start with the Data Explorer. To view published visualizations or data stories, browse the respective sections from the navigation bar.
