Indicators

Indicators are the measurable data points (e.g. population, literacy rate, unemployment) that appear in datasets. They are the building blocks of visualizations — when creating a chart, table, map, or scorecard, you select one or more indicators from a dataset to display. Accessible from the management top navigation under Data → Indicators.

Creating an indicator

1. Go to the Indicators page from the management top navigation
2. Click Create
3. Fill in the fields:
   • Name (multi-language)
   • Description (multi-language)
   • Topics — select one or more topics to associate
4. Click Save

Editing an indicator

1. Click Edit next to an indicator in the list
2. Update the fields as needed
3. Click Update

Deleting an indicator

1. Click Delete next to an indicator
2. Confirm in the dialog
